So, we've been going to the Bean Museum every Wednesday.
Currently on display in the center is themed 'Safari.'
Lions, rhino, ostrich (which Debany read all by herself!), and an elephant.

We try to get to the museum early enough to work on a scavenger hunt before story-time and meeting a new animal.

This week we saw a bearded dragon!
The previous week we saw a tortoise!
After our Museum experience, we wash our hands and head outside to enjoy a lunch we brought. (Don't forget to bring a blanket -- grass tends to be damp.)
We also write in our journals and learn some new words to put on our wall.
